Harvest Moon

Harvest Moon (writ. 2024) is a classic romantic drama. The story follows the recently broken-hearted Jesse who decides to make a trip back to his small hometown in pursuit of family comforts, but when he runs into his high school sweetheart, Wendy, at a party he’d rather not even be at, Jesse is forced to come to terms with the life he’s lived, while Wendy unknowingly does the same.

The heart of this story is the connection between our characters. There is love, there is life, there is hardship. Each line, each movement, and each hug between our melancholy cast is intentionally done so that each character feels like they’re more than just a couple of letters on a piece of paper.

This script attempts to encapsulate what life feels like. Through the disappointment, the depression, the negative thoughts, there will always be something or someone who is there for you. You just have to search for it, even if it only comes once in a harvest moon.
